Local Award Given to Brighouse Secretary
26th April, 2013
Brighouse Town secretary Malcolm Taylor has been honoured with a special trophy given for services to local football.
He picked up the Eddie Hebblethwaite Award at a special ceremony held at Brighouse Town Hall earlier this month.
The Baris NCEL Premier Division club's chairman, Ray McLaughlin told the Brighouse Echo: "Malcolm is one of the most well known and respected figures in local sport and this award is deserved recognition of the 40-plus years service in football administration.
"During that time, Malcolm had probably covered every type of job and duty there is to do running a football club.
"Despite having a couple of health scares during his time as secretary, Malcolm's enthusiasm and commitment to the club has never wavered.
"He has played a massive part in Brighouse Town's progression in recent years.
"I couldn't think of a more deserved winner of this honour."
