New Sponsors at Staveley
26th April, 2013
Baris NCEL Premier Division side Staveley Miners Welfare have announced a new sponsor for the 2013/14 season.
H-K-L Specialists Ltd, a company being spearheaded by the club's chairman Terry Damms, will be backing them for the new campaign.
A statement from the Inkersall Road said: "After six fantastic seasons of honours and the forming of the junior and ladies section and extensive development off-the-field of the club's spectator facilities, this is now another opportunity to see our club develop further.
"The leaving of 95% of the first team playing staff and management team with just three months to go to the end of the season in early February left the club facing an extremely difficult time.
"This is not the first time in the last six years this has occurred and players, managers and people will come and go but, as we have done in the past, we will overcome the same and will aim to continue to progress with a new regime of managers, playing staff and people to continue our club's aims.
"Neil Cluxton has done a great job given the situation he faced with just one first team regular remaining.
"He has been busy drafting in players but also trying to phase in some of the U19 regulars into the first team to give them experience.
"Neil Cluxton will be given the opportunity of staking his claim for the first team manager's position for 2013/2014 after the finalisation of the club's players budget for next year that will allow us to once again continue the pursuit of honours from top to bottom of the club."
The club have also revealed that grant applications have been put in place to continue the development of their ground which will be the venue for a number of cup Semi-Finals and Finals, including the Baris NCEL League Cup Final on Monday 6th May.
The statement added: "Finally, a huge thank you for those that have remained loyal to the club at player level, management, helpers and of course to our supporters who have been simply remarkable in turning up week in week out, showing 110% commitment and loyalty.
"There are positions available for next season on the footballing and playing side and off the field activities such as media/photography and we will be looking to recruit people who want to work with a positive forward looking team of people."
