Heanor Management Duo Leave Club
21st January, 2013
Heanor Town's joint managers Craig Hopkins and Glenn Kirkwood have left the club to take charge of Evo-Stik League side, Mickleover Sports.
In a statement on the club's website, Kirkwood said: "As you are probably aware Craig and I are moving on to pastures new. Over the past three-and-a-half years whilst being in charge of Heanor Town, we have seen many positive improvements around the club.
"During this time, we have made many friends and the backing we have received since day one from our supporters has been nothing short of amazing.
"We are taking with us many happy memories, winning the league last season is the biggest achievement of my career and my proudest day.
"I would like to say thank you to all the players who have played for us during this time, they have been a pleasure to work with.
"Also, thank you to the committee who gave us the opportunity to manage Heanor Town in the first place.
"The fans at Heanor Town are the best I have ever experienced, and we would like to thank you all personally. We hope you have enjoyed our time here as much as we have.
"We are looking forward to our new challenge at Mickleover Sports FC.
"I would like to wish everyone at the club all the very best for the future!"
Jordan Hall has taken over as player-manager with immediate effect.
