All at the Toolstation NCEL send their deepest condolences to Armthorpe Welfare and to everyone who knew Nigel Roe following the sad news that he has passed away.

Welfare's Division One match on Wednesday at home to Shirebrook Town was postponed after the club announced that Nigel, who was a member of their committee, was in a critical condition in hospital.

A statement released by Welfare on Thursday said: "Armthorpe Welfare FC are extremely sad to report that committee member Nigel Roe unfortunately passed away on Wednesday from the injuries sustained in a tragic accident at work on Tuesday 21st August.

"Nigel only joined the club's committee at the end of last season and was an avid Doncaster Rovers fan.

"The thoughts and condolences from all at Armthorpe Welfare go out to all Nigel's family, friends and colleagues at this deeply upsetting time."
