Simon Wilkinson broke the deadlock for the Eagles on 50 minutes and that is how it stayed until the last quarter-of-an-hour when Blaine Hancock and Shaun Rickford put the hosts ahead and Michael Armstrong got a third from the penalty spot.
Ricky Gardner pulled one back in injury time but it was the home side that progressed and are now at home to Scarborough Athletic.
Things were a lot more comfortable for Staveley who won 4-0 against Hall Road Rangers at Inkersall Road and now go to Shirebrook Town in the Third Round.
Simon Barraclough struck twice, once in each half, before Christopher Coy and Jordan Eagers made sure of the victory in the last twelve minutes.
Two goals from Jordan Missin ensured Thackley a 3-0 home win over Lincoln Moorlands Railways to move up into fourth spot in the Premier Division.
Athersley Recreation's lead at the top of Division One is back to four points as they won 3-1 at second-placed Shirebrook Town.
The hosts had taken a 32nd minute lead through Jordan Lemon but it was the away side who went in ahead at the break, thanks to goals from Adam White and Steven Bennett, and Robert Ludlam's own goal after the hour mark made sure of the win.
Albion Sports are up to third after Charlie Flaherty's first half penalty and goals from Daniel Facey and Karl Hall in the second period claimed a 3-0 win over visitors Selby Town.
Eccleshill United were 4-0 winners over Dinnington Town at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium to move out of the bottom three whilst it was a 2-2 draw between Worsbrough Bridge Athletic and Hallam.
