After seven years hard work, the official opening of Arnold Town's new home at Eagle Valley will take place on Friday.

The ground will be open from 10am and, during the day, a large number of boys and girls from the youth section will play matches and attend training sessions.

Invited guests will arrive for a buffet lunch from 12.30pm.

Guests representing the large fund providers, The Football Association, The Football Foundation and Sport England will be present.

The Mayor of Gedling and the Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council will be in attendance together with Vernon Coaker MP, Minister for Schools, and many local sponsors and friends.

Brian Gould will represent the KoolSport Northern Counties East
League.

The facility which has cost in excess of ?2m will be officially opened at 2pm by Sven-Goran Eriksson.
