Mulligan Moves to Shirebrook

17th August, 2009

Striker Lance Mulligan has been allowed to leave Rainworth Miners Welfare and has been snapped up by Shirebrook Town.

Mulligan signed for the Wrens in pre-season, but only figured fairly briefly before picking up an injury which sidelined him for the rest of the pre-season preparations and the first week.

Meanwhile, the off-field team at the Welfare Ground has been boosted by the addition of media student Nathan Moore as club photographer to replace Wayne Griffin who resigned during pre-season.

The Wrens broke new ground in the cup tie at Radford on Saturday when, for the first time and as an experiment, live updates from the match were posted regularly onto the club's website for the benefit of any supporters who were unable to attend.

Supporters unable to travel could log on and read a preview and team news before the match, and stay informed of all the action with minute-by-minute updates throughout the tie.
