Eagles Management Duo Quits
16th August, 2009
Arnold Town have accepted the resignation of their manager, Andrew Muldoon, and their First Team coach, Bryn Gunn.
The news comes less than 24 hours after they bowed out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 defeat at Bardon Hill Sports, but the club insist that their departure is because of work commitments.
A statement from the club reads: "After four years of loyal and excellent service to the club, the pair have new jobs coaching football within the NHS in various establishments in England.
"This has now expanded and Andrew feels that he cannot commit the time necessary to continue to fulfil the duties associated with the first team affairs.
"Both men will continue to support the club in many ways and have expressed their support for the future management.
"Chris Freestone and Martin Curruthers have accepted the temporary managerial positions and take over with immediate effect with the Club expecting to make arrangements for a permanent appointment."
