Eagle Valley Official Opening

13th July, 2009

The official opening of Arnold Town's Eagle Valley Stadium happens tomorrow evening - and the match with Derby County will also be raising money for a worthwhile cause.

Rams boss Nigel Clough has promised to send a strong squad for the match that will also collect cash for a Bingham family whose two-year-old son is battling cancer.

Toby Clough was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma in his eye muscles when he was 21 months old.

After six months of intensive chemotherapy Toby is set to be treated with a type of radiotherapy in Switzerland.

Parents Claire and Kyle are hoping the treatment, known as proton chemotherapy, will be paid for by the NHS and are trying to raise ?20,000 to pay for their costs.

They will have to pay for accommodation for two months while Toby has treatment, their flights and childcare for their four-year-old son Sam.

The match kicks off at Eagle Valley on Tuesday 14th July at 7.45pm.
