New Chairman For Colls

KoolSport NCEL Division One side Pontefract Collieries have appointed a new chairman.
Guy Nottingham has accepted the committee's invitation to take up the role of Acting Chairman, a role that all concerned at the club hope will be confirmed at their forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
Following advice by the County Football Association, the club have searched for an independent Chairman to lead the Skinner Lane side.
After an extensive search, they decided that Guy would be the right person.
A spokesperson said: "Guy combines a passion for football and a knowledge of the local game with the acumen required to steer the club through the challenges of the years to come.
"He is educated to MBA level (and Level II Coaching) and works as a Business Development Consultant, which means that he helps businesses to grow.
"The committee are certain that these skills - together with a passionate belief in the potential of Pontefract Collieries Football Club - will be valuable in bringing unity to the club and ensuring that everyone concerned with the future of senior, junior and learning difficulties football in the area work together towards a common vision."
