Two Clubs Face Points Deductions
16th March, 2010
At last week?s KoolSport NCEL Management Board meeting, it was ruled that two Division One sides should have points deducted, subject to appeal.
Barton Town Old Boys have been fined ?500 and three points deducted from their total following their unfulfilled fixture versus Pontefract Collieries on February 9th.
And, Askern Villa have been deducted the ten points gained in matches in August and September when playing Dean Wilburn whilst he was under suspension from his County FA for outstanding monies to a previous club.
Wilburn, who has recently been transferred to Winterton Rangers, is now eligible to play as the cash has been paid.
Both Barton Town Old Boys and Askern Villa have fourteen days in which to challenge their respective verdicts to the FA.
Any points deductions required will be taken off the Division One table after that period has passed.
