Parkgate have announced that their three home friendlies in July have been called off.

They have been advised to stay off their Green Lane pitch for as long as possible.

It was re-seeded earlier in the summer but the recent bad weather means that it has not taken as quickly as anticipated.

That means the games against Ossett Albion (24th), Belper Town (28th) and Worksop Town (31st) are now cancelled.

The club hopes to be able to use the pitch from the 1st of August so, at the moment, the games against the Caribbean Cavaliers and Halifax Town are still planned to go ahead.

Meanwhile, their friendly at Staveley Miners Welfare that was due to take place this Thursday as been called off as Staveley's Inkersall Road pitch is also not yet ready for action.
