Approximately seventy players attended Scarborough Athletic's open trials that took place on Saturday despite the inclement weather.

Torrential rain coupled with trying to register everyone proved very testing but, due to umbrellas etc., the afternoon went well.

The trials consisted of four eleven-a-side twenty minute games that were very keenly contested.

Manager Brian France was impressed by the number of players and their commitment in remaining throughout the trials in what was, at times, monsoon weather.

Five players registered to play for Scarborough Athletic, two more took their forms away to be completed and two more are having a further trial.
