Shelton takes temporary charge

13th October, 2017

Parkgate assistant manager Ross Shelton will be in charge in the dugout of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side on a temporary basis.

Chairman Albert Dudhill has announced that, due to work commitments, Steelmen boss Graham Nicholas will be taking leave of absence for a few weeks.

27-year-old Ross began his playing career at sixteen with Sheffield Wednesday and, after a period at Scunthorpe United, began his NCEL career at Parkgate.

He then had spells at Garforth Town and Ossett Town before returning to Roundwood in 2016.

Shelton started Parkgate’s last home match with Garforth Town but is likely to concentrate on his management role in the coming weeks starting with Saturday's league trip to Staveley Miners Welfare.
