Botham leaves Swans

24th September, 2017

Barton Town have announced that manager Dave Botham has left the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division club.

The news came less than an hour after their exit from the Buildbase FA Vase following a 2-1 home defeat to fellow bottom two side Clipstone in their Second Round Qualifying tie on Saturday.

The announcement came on Twitter with the club saying: "Following a disappointing loss against Clipstone, the club has decided to relinquish Dave Botham of his managing duties at Barton.

"However we thank Dave for his hard work at the club, and wish him the best for the future. We really appreciate your effort for The Swans!"

Barton Town next have two away matches in the Premier Division with trips to seventeenth-placed Bottesford Town on Tuesday followed by a game on Saturday at Maltby Main who are fourth.
