Management Duo Leave Hall Road
2nd October, 2011
Billy Heath has resigned as manager of Hall Road Rangers, along with his assistant Bobby Carroll, with immediate effect.
It comes despite Rangers winning 4-0 against Maltby Main in the Baris NCEL Premier Division on Saturday.
Heath, who took charge of the club in November 2010, has seen his side crash out of two cup competitions already this year and, after enjoying an encouraging start in their campaign, Hall Road now sit in tenth position in the table, six points behind league leaders Brighouse Town.
Club chairman Darren Wilson issued a statement on behalf of the club: "Hall Road Rangers Football Club have reluctantly accepted the resignation of first team management duo Billy Heath and Bobby Carroll.
"We would like to thank them for all their hard work over the previous few months, especially their success at getting the team to the East Riding Senior Cup Final at the KC Stadium last season.
"We would like to wish Billy and Bobby all the success in the future."
Current Hall Road player Martin Thacker, who had held the position of manager before Heath's arrival last season, will be placed in temporary charge of the club.
"We are confident Martin's playing and managerial experience will guarantee a smooth transition period until the committee appoints a manager in a permanent capacity," added Wilson.
