Former Rail boss joins Emley management team

23rd May, 2018

AFC Emley's first summer signing has been made to bolster boss Joe Howson's management team with Marlon Adams joining the backroom staff as coach.

Adams, who recently had been in charge of Toolstation NCEL side Harrogate Railway Athletic, will work alongside Joe Brennan and will help Howson and his assistant James Mahoney as the club prepares for the new Division One campaign.

Howson told the club's website: "I've been waiting for the right person to come along to join us in this capacity and I'm very glad I waited.

"Marlon has just the right combination of experience and network of contacts.

"He'll be a great support for myself and James as well as helping move the club forward."

Adams, who also also previously managed Field AFC and nearby Lower Hopton, added: "I'd like to thank Joe Howson for adding me to his management team.

"My experience and attributes will hopefully help push the club further in our quest for promotion."
