Morris brought in at Briggers

9th October, 2017

Worsbrough Bridge AFC have confirmed that former Goole AFC and Frickley manager Lee Morris has agreed to become the new boss of the Toolstation NCEL Division One side following Josh Wright's decision to step down.

Club chairman Peter Schofield said: "We are delighted that Lee has agreed to join the club as first team manager.

"We believe that Lee's contacts and knowledge will help us to push on, and his passion and enthusiasm at interview stage provided us with real confidence that he is the right man to take the club forward.

"The club would like to thank Rhys Meynell who stepped in during the last couple of weeks and helped to steady the team and gained a fantastic win at Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday.

"We would also like to thank the many great candidates that expressed an interest in the club and wish them well for the future.

"We are excited for the rest of the season under Lee's management and I hope that the local community will come and show their support for the club during the remainder of the season and let's get the club back to where we believe it belongs."

Morris' first match in charge will be the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup First Round tie at home to Phoenix on Wednesday evening.
