The Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and Division One line-ups for the 2018/19 season have been revealed by the Football Association.

As expected, both divisions have been reduced to twenty teams with three sides coming in to the competition whilst seven have left.

In the Premier Division, champions Pontefract Collieries, runners-up Pickering Town and third-placed AFC Mansfield have moved up to Step 4 football and will be plying their trade in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

One team comes down from Step 4 with Goole AFC returning to the NCEL after thirteen years away.

The three teams to drop down to Step 6 are Rainworth Miners Welfare who took voluntary demotion and bottom side Clipstone - they both go into the East Midlands Counties League - whilst Parkgate, who finished next-to-bottom, will be in NCEL Division One.

That means that Harrogate Railway Athletic will stay in the Premier Division despite finishing in the bottom three whilst Division One champions Knaresborough Town, runners-up Yorkshire Amateur and play-off winners Eccleshill United move up into the top flight.

In Division One, Brigg Town and Retford United's demotion to Step 7 has been confirmed whilst we welcome the long-awaited return of Central Midlands League side Harworth Colliery and Lincolnshire League outfit Skegness Town.

Both Harworth and Skegness were in the NCEL in the 1980s and it is great to see them back.

The line-ups will be ratified at next month's NCEL Annual General Meeting and the website will update with the new constitution after that has taken place.
