2017 NCEL table headed by Cleethorpes

The Premier Division winners in the 2016/17 Toolstation NCEL season, Cleethorpes Town, have emerged as the team with the best points per game average in the league during 2017.

The 58 points they amassed in the 17 games they played in the NCEL in the past calendar year gave them a points per game average of 2.65, ahead of Pontefract Collieries (2.51), Grimsby Borough (2.20), Pickering Town (2.19) and Knaresborough Town (2.15).

There were 887 matches played in the league with 3,299 goals scored, Pontefract contributing the most with 123 in their 35 games.

Cleethorpes and the Colls were also the best two sides in the home and away tables with Cleethorpes averaging 2.67 on their travels and 2.63 on their own patch whilst Pontefract averaged 2.50 and 2.53, respectively.

Knaresborough (2.37), Grimsby Borough (2.36) and AFC Mansfield (2.35) complete the top five in the home table whilst Eccleshill United (2.10), Pickering (2.10) and Handsworth Parramore (2.04) are third, fourth and fifth in the away standings.
