Socrates Dies Aged 57

Former Brazil captain Socrates, who made national headlines in the UK more recently when he took part in an NCEL match in 2004, has died at the age of 57.
He passed away in a Sao Paolo hospital from an intestinal infection in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Socrates made sixty appearances for his country, scoring twenty-two goals, in a distinguished career.
And, he came out of retirement to make a substitute appearance for Garforth Town in a 2-2 draw at home to Tadcaster Albion in an NCEL Division One match on November 20th, 2004, in front of a crowd of 1,350.
