Change of Manager at Robins
22nd February, 2011
Selby Town have named Gary Paton as their new manager after Mick Gray left the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division side by mutual consent.
The Robins say that criticism in the local media was one of the reasons why Gray stepped down.
A statement from the club said: "We wish Mick all the best for the future and thank him for all the hard work and time he dedicated to Selby Town.
"The article in the local press was a factor in his decision as he took it personally that it cited mismanagement as a factor of the way the club has been run.
"We will help Gary as much as we can and hope to get the club moving in the right direction."
Paton will be in charge at the Rigid Group Stadium at least until the end of the season.
