Selby Town's goalkeeper coach Thomas Shepherd will be undertaking a charity walk later this month to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. He will be making the 33-mile journey between Hull and Selby on Saturday 27th March, 2021, and is already well on the way to his initial target of £500.
On his justgiving page, Thomas says he is doing it because he wants "a world without dementia".
Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia, that's the equivalent of around 225,000 per year.
Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity and they campaign for change, funding research to find a cure and supporting people living with dementia today.
