Chatfield resigns as Bulls boss

AFC Mansfield have announced the departure of manager Matt Chatfield to take up a new position within the dugout at Northern Premier League side Grantham Town.
Chatfield will be a coach at the Gingerbreads under their new boss Carlton Palmer, the former England, Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest midfielder.
The Bulls said in a statement: "Matt joined AFC during the 2019/20 season and quickly went to work transforming the club and securing six consecutive home wins in his opening season.
"AFC Mansfield would like to place on record our sincere thanks for all his hard work during his time at the Bulls.
"The club will not be making any further comment at this time."
Joining Chatfield in the Grantham coaching set-up will be Jas Colliver who is also well known in Toolstation NCEL circles having previously been in charge at Clipstone, Staveley Miners Welfare and Handsworth.
