New clubhouse set for Seasiders
14th June, 2020
Bridlington Town's new clubhouse will be delivered and erected at the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Stadium on Monday as the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side look to start the 2020/21 season in style.
It replaces the previous building that has been dismantled and transported to Scottish club Belshill AFC whilst, in the past few days, PBS Construction (North East) Ltd have completed the construction of new foundations in preparation for the Seasiders' new arrival.
Chairman Peter Smurthwaite said: "Our subcontractor Integra Buildings Ltd have been constructing the new modular building at their Hull factory since we placed the order in March and, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, have still been able to meet the original programme date.
"We are pleased to announce units will be delivered and erected on site on Monday 15th June, 2020.
"The project will be a valuable asset to the football club but also to the community of Bridlington being available for use seven days a week with the improved facilities.
"The new building would not have been able to proceed without the help and financial grants from the Yorkshire Coast CLLD Programme in connection with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the Football Foundation.
"More information will be provided later about other people and organisations who have helped make this prestigious project happen."
