Scarborough Athletic are now inviting applications for the First Team Manager role at the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division club.It comes a week after the Seadogs announced they would be advertising the position following a period of uncertainty surrounding it.
Current boss Brian France remains in hospital, receiving treatment for a brain haemorrhage after he was hit in the head by a ball during their league game with Liversedge in September.
Although he felt fine after the incident, it is thought he blacked out at home a few hours later and he fell down some stairs, breaking three ribs and his sternum.
The club have said they intend to honour their commitments to France in full but need to appoint someone to "begin the process of getting the club back into a more positive frame of mind; both on and off the field."
Scarborough Athletic is an ambitious, fan-owned club which is seeking to progress up the non-league football pyramid and they require someone with the drive and ambition to match the their aspirations.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience at steps 4 & 5 (Evo-Stik Division One & NCEL Premier) of the pyramid.
Applications are to be received no later than Friday 12th November, 2010, and interviews will be held within two weeks of the application closing date.
The club hope to have resolved the situation before their Annual General Meeting which takes place on Friday 26th November.
