Arnold Town youngster Tom Watson was on the score sheet for Middlesborough Reserves against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening.

Watson, 16, is on trial with the club this week and found the net after 70 minutes with a delightful chip with just his second touch.

Another Arnold youngster, Ben Hutchinson, 18, whistled a powerful effort just wide of the target.

The pair were introduced as second half substitutes after 66 minutes and joined former Forest defender Colin Cooper in the Middlesborough line up.

The other goal in a 1-1 draw came from West Brom's record signing from Cardiff City, Rob Earnshaw.

The progress of the duo has been closely monitored by a growing number of clubs following the magnificent FA Youth Cup run.
