Simon Clifford says his vision for Premier Division new boys Garforth Town will not change - despite his appointment by Sir Clive Woodward to Southampton's coaching staff.

Cliffed, who will remain owner of the Yorkshire club, said: "I'm very committed to Clive and chairman Rupert Lowe, and in the time they need me I will give them my all.

"But, Garforth is something I have for life and I am going to make sure the momentum we built up last season continues."

The Brazilian Soccer Schools guru became notorious when he stated his ambition was to see Garforth win the Premiership title by 2028.

Clifford has structured Garforth's coaching staff with head coach Steve Nichol assisted by Vernol Blair, Paul Roberts and Gary Brown. Dean Eldredge will oversee things as general manager.
