Players at Toolstation NCEL Division One side Harrogate Railway Athletic will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge this summer, raising funds to help local health services. The 24 mile route includes an ascent of 5200 feet and takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in that order in under twelve hours.
They are part of the Pennine range, encircling the head of the valley of the River Ribble in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Money raised will go to help the Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity who say that every penny raised will make a huge difference to patients and staff at the area's NHS Foundation Trust.
The players will be fundraising individually for the event but the Rail would gratefully appreciate any additional support from fans, sponsors and the wider community.
