October Start For Boro Home Games
28th August, 2010
Grimsby Borough's first home game at their brand new stadium has been delayed.
The Lincolnshire side are set to move into the Bradley Community Stadium after groundsharing with Brigg Town for the previous two KoolSport NCEL seasons.
It had been hoped that matches could begin there in September but, following a visit to the ground by League officials, we have agreed to start home games at the new facility in October.
This is because, even though the stadium itself is almost complete, the pitch needs further time to bed in.
It means that their match with Appleby Frodingham on Tuesday 7th September will now be reversed and played at Brumby Hall with the original fixture taking place later in the season.
And, a suitable venue will be found for their other two home games scheduled for next month, the FA Vase tie with Radcliffe Olympic and the Division One match with Barton Town Old Boys.
