Rowbotham Suffers Double Break
11th August, 2010
Louth Town's first season in the KoolSport NCEL has got off to the worst possible start - with a serious injury to their main goal threat.
Jamie Rowbotham, who was the club's leading scorer last season with 38 goals as they gained promotion from the Central Midlands League, looks likely to miss most, if not all, of the season.
He suffered a double break to his left leg following a 50-50 challenge in Louth's home opener with Worsbrough Bridge Athletic on Saturday.
He had already shown his potential to cause defenses trouble this season in that game by netting twice in the first thirteen minutes before he had to be stretchered off.
The club say he is expected to be in plaster for three to four months.
All at the KoolSport NCEL wish Jamie a speedy recovery.
