Funding Success For Rangers

12th April, 2006

The Football Stadia Improvement Fund, supporters of the Football Foundation, and the largest funder of non-league football in the country, have announced a grant of ?43,328 to Winterton Rangers Football Club.

This award will enable the Lincolnshire-based club to build a new seated stand and boundary fencing at their West Street ground.

Over eighty million pounds has already been invested by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund since its launch in July 2000, funding lower league ground improvements throughout professional and amateur game, creating a safe and modern environment for fans and players to enjoy the game.

Dave Crowder, Chairman of Winterton Rangers Football Club, said: "The continued support of the FSIF of our ground development initiatives is well received and greatly appreciated by everyone associated with WRFC.

"This further development, whilst bringing our 'Stadium' up to the respective required Football Association Standards, will also enhance spectator viewing, safety, and comfort, with particular emphasis for the disabled.

"These improvements together with the continued development of our Football Structures and local Schools links, will help in our 'Goals' to make WRFC a special community based Football Club for the benefit of all ages, and sexes, regardless of ethnic origin in the Town of Winterton and surrounding areas."
