North Ferriby are through to the final of this season's East Riding Senior Cup after a convincing 4-0 win over former Toolstation NCEL side Hull United at the Roy West Centre in Hull in midweek.Luke Lofts gave the Villagers a 22nd minute lead that he doubled early in the second period before Levi Tarbotton and Joe Dale concluded the scoring over their Humber Premier League opponents.
Ferriby will now face the Hull City U23 side in a bid to win a trophy in their first season.
Elsewhere, in the Premier Division,
Yorkshire Amateur have moved up to third, two points off the summit, after a 3-1 home win over bottom side
Athersley Recreation.
But, it was the visitors who struck first though Shane Kelsey on nineteen minutes before a Jack Shepperd own goal quickly levelled matters and the Ammers sealed the win in the opening period through further strikes from Harrison Blakey and Adam Priestley.
The Ammers go above
Penistone Church who drew 0-0 at
Barton Town in one of two goalless matches, the other being at the Forest Town Arena between
AFC Mansfield and
Maltby Main.
Garforth Town found themselves 2-0 down at
Grimsby Borough, courtesy of goals from Adam Drury and Harry Burke in the first quarter of the match but they had turned the game around by the hour mark.
Joseph Colley, Jack Lazenby, Charlie Marshall and Connor Mayall all netted in a 4-2 win for the Miners that sees them leapfrog the Wilderness Boys into eighth.
Silsden are tenth after a 1-0 victory at
Handsworth, Christopher Wademan with the only goal of the game on 36 minutes.
In Division One,
Skegness Town climb to second, a point behind leaders
Winterton Rangers, following a 5-0 win at basement side
East Hull.
Daniel Trott's ten-minute hat-trick set them on the way in the opening quarter-of-an-hour with Cenk Acar and Gary King adding to the scoreline in the last twenty minutes of the match at Dunswell Park.
Rossington Main and
Brigg Town climb to fourteenth and fifteenth, respectively, after 1-0 away victories.
Jordan Buckham scored for Main at
Armthorpe Welfare whilst the matchwinner for the Zebras was Reece Moody who struck in the 83rd minute at
Ollerton Town who drop down behind the midweek winners to sixteenth.
And,
Hall Road Rangers are now twelve points clear of the relegation zone after a 2-1 win at
Nostell Miners Welfare, Dan O'Connor and Chris Murray's goals sandwiching an equaliser from the hosts through Amir Berchil, all in the first half.
One midweek game was abandoned,
