Worsbrough Bridge Athletic are through to the semi-finals of this season's Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup after a 3-0 home win over former Toolstation NCEL side Emley AFC in midweek.

Billy Rhodes put the Briggers ahead after seven minutes and their lead was doubled near the half-hour mark by Kai Hancock before a Rob Bordman own goal midway through the second period sealed their passage through to the competition's last four.

Meanwhile, AFC Mansfield and Garforth Town bowed out of their respective county cups whilst Ollerton Town's Notts Senior Cup tie at East Midlands Counties League hosts Eastwood Community was abandoned after just two minutes due to fog.

Mansfield were beaten 3-1 at home by Notts County in the fourth round of the Notts Senior Cup, Phillip Buxton with the Bulls' goal as their Vanarama National League visitors progressed to the next stage.

Sam Barker netted for Garforth, meanwhile, as they went down 2-1 at Northern Premier League side Ossett United in the second round of the West Riding County Cup.

Hallam stay eleventh in Division One but have closed the gap on tenth-placed Armthorpe Welfare to two points having beaten them 1-0 at Sandygate, Samuel Smith with the only goal of the game from the penalty spot on 53 minutes.

And, Handsworth's home Premier Division clash with Yorkshire Amateur was called off less than ninety minutes before kick-off due to a frozen pitch.
