Adams Takes Parkgate Helm
14th June, 2013
After receiving seventeen applicants for their vacant managerial position, NCEL Premier Division side Parkgate have announced that Steve Adams is their new boss.
The club have said that some very good candidates had to be rejected as they made a shortlist of three to interview and that all three performed strongly with much to offer.
In the end, the committee selected Adams because of his past experience and ability.
He played football for 25 years until retiring in 1993 and, since 2001, he has been youth team manager/coach at Stocksbridge Park Steels and then boss at two other NCEL sides, Maltby Main and Winterton Rangers.
Adams, who has thanked the committee for their support in selecting him as their new manager, says he is looking forward to the challenge and will announce his assistant in the next day or two.
