For the third time in five years and the second year in a row, Carlton Town's presentation night was a one that celebrated promotion.

Head Coach Tommy Brookbanks described the season, which saw the Nottingham club promoted to the UniBond League, as his and the club's greatest achievement to date.

There was a special award for goalkeeper Steve Brearley who has played in every game in all competitions this season and he will have been happy with a nice bottle of Moet champagne.

The club's Young Player Of The Year was Ashley Winfield who followed in the footsteps of Martin Ball who won it last year.

The Chairman's Award this year went to the well-deserving Joe Irons, who is leaving the club to work abroad, for his outstanding contribution over three years.

This year's main award, the Players' Player, went to Dean Gent who has had an excellent season alongside Irons in midfield and it was no surprise when he also picked up the Manager's Award.

The contribution of sixteen-goal striker Danny Blair was not forgotten either and, despite the fact that he is now at Grantham Town, Brookbanks insisted that he got a medal for the excellent contribution he made before leaving for the chance of UniBond football.

The players were then all called up one by one by the Chairman and given promotion medals to mark their outstanding success this season.
