Arnold Town have announced another slight delay in their proposed move to a new ground at Eagle Valley.

A grant application was due to be considered by the Football Foundation on Tuesday.

However, on the advice of their consultants, the club has decided that more time is needed to prepare their submission.

That means they will have to wait for the next Football Foundation meeting that is due to take place in May.

The club's official website says: "This will enable the club to resolve a couple of outstanding issues - one is a minor issue relating to VAT and the other is connected to the roof at the new ground.

"The club originally planned to have a grass roof to fit in with the green belt.

"However, discussions with the Council and the Contractors are taking place to see if an alternative (and more cost effective) roof can be used."

Arnold Town officials will also be meeting with representatives from the Football Foundation and the Football Association on April the 23rd.

Meanwhile, a recent appeal to help the club as the move to Eagle Valley is putting a drain on their limited funds has had a good response.

Eleven individuals have come forward pledging their support and joining the Vice Presidents Club.

And, the club is also appealing for assistance at Gedling Road for pre-match, during the game and post-match duties.
