Borough Amalgamation Takes Place
1st July, 2013
As of today, NCEL Division One club Grimsby Borough and local junior football outfit Grimsby Soccer Club have joined forces to become Grimsby Borough Football Club.
It has been formed to educate and develop all ages of girls and boys as well as those with disabilities.
A statement from the club said: "We have put structures in place which will see all teams, managers and coaches develop their skills.
"And, the involvement of parents in the running of the club is a major factor for success in the future.
"The club will be striving to achieve full Charter Standard Community Club status and is working with the Lincolnshire FA and the FA to achieve this."
Ken Vincent, chairman of Grimsby Borough and Matt Bryant, chairman of Grimsby Borough Junior, commented: "This was a fantastic opportunity for the club and one that they relish for the future. The outlook of Grimsby Borough is bright for all levels from under 7s right through to the first team and beyond."
