Nostell Boss Dreams Of Top-Four Finish

16th February, 2007

Nostell Miners Welfare manager Alan Colquhoun admits he is harbouring another promotion dream - and has set his side a target of a top-four finish.

Welfare have been in the running for promotion for most of the season and have confirmed they have applied to the NCEL to be considered for going up, with talk abound that the top four Division One sides could go up into the Premier Division.

Colquhoun, whose team currently sit in third spot after another outstanding season - their first in the NCEL - said: "There's talk of four teams going up and we've applied to be considered (for promotion).

"Our aim is to finish third or fourth. Realistically, I think we can achieve that, although it's a tough ask. If we pick up six wins from our last eight games, I think we'll do it.

"But whatever happens, we've had a very good season."
