Hands Off Warning From Gedling

8th January, 2007

Gedling Town boss James Jepson has said that the club's fitness coach is going nowhere.

Speaking to the Official NCEL website, he said: "I want to set the record straight as I have had approaches for Ally Stevenitt from Conference, UniBond and NCEL Premier sides to be their Fitness Coach.

"Part of the reason our recent form has been so good is because of how fit we are and Ally is partly the reason for that.

"There is not much loyalty in football anymore but, after declining all offers, Ally has decided to stay with us and I could not be happier."

Ally has an open evening on personal training this Thursday at The Lizard Lounge in Nottingham from 8:15pm.

Meanwhile, Jepson and his assistant Devon White have been busy recruiting new faces to Gedling Town.

Nathan Scott made his debut on Saturday against Hall Road Rangers and capped his first appearance with an excellent goal.

And, Michael Grinnion will make his debut this Saturday against Worsbrough Bridge.

Chairman Roland Ash said: "He looks a big, strong, old-fashioned forward and I am sure he will upset many a back line with his direct play.

"Gedling have many young players, the average age is now nineteen and two are now on full time contracts.

"The new fitness coach can now see that his hard work is paying dividends as the lads are now still strong at ninety minutes, which could win us many matches in the future.

"I just hope people will come and see this young side play and give them support."
