Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2013/14 #11

16th September, 2013

Brighouse Town are the Toolstation NCEL's sole representatives in Monday's draw for the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup with Budweiser after the weekend's action.

They were 4-1 winners at home to Crook Town with Ernest Boafo, Ryan Hall, Tom Matthews and Ben Small finding the net for the Premier Division side.

Basford United and Worksop Parramore were beaten at home by Matlock Town and Cammell Laird, respectively, whilst Long Eaton United and Albion Sports lost at Coalville Town and Marske United.

In the Premier Division, Bridlington Town moved up to second spot and are two points behind leaders Thackley after a Craig Hogg brace, sandwiching a Danny Brunton strike, earned them a 3-0 win at Armthorpe Welfare.

Craig Fisher claimed a point for Retford United to keep them third as he almost immediately cancelled out Heanor Town's 85th minute opener from Courey Grantham in a 1-1 draw.

And, Tadcaster Albion climb into fourth with a 4-1 home victory over bottom side Nostell Miners Welfare with James Coupland, William Pepper and a Wayne Ball own goal securing the win after the sides were level at half-time.

Garforth Town are up into sixth after they thumped hosts Winterton Rangers, 7-0, with the game over by half-time as own goals from Adam Yhklef and Adam Sparrow, two goals from Nick Black and another from CJ Lyle had the visitors five up by the break.

Black completed his hat-trick after the interval before Stephen Simpson added the seventh.

Joe Danby also scored three times as Pickering Town won 6-2 at home to Staveley Miners Welfare and there were 3-1 wins for Maltby Main at Lincoln Moorlands Railway and for Liversedge at home to Barton Town Old Boys.

Parkgate and Glasshoughton Welfare played out a goalless draw at Green Lane.

Eccleshill United are top of Division One after their 4-0 win at Louth Town, Jackson Patillo and Alex Brisbane netting before the break whilst Ryan Jones and Reid Harbach added to the scoreline in the second period.

There were also victories for Cleethorpes Town and Bottesford Town to move them up into the top four.

Brody Robertson scored twice for Cleethorpes who won 3-1 at Hall Road Rangers in a game played at Barton Town Old Boys' ground and Bottesford defeated visitors Hemsworth Miners Welfare by the same scoreline.

They both went above Yorkshire Amateur who drew 0-0 at Knaresborough Town.

Liam Schofield and Adam Todd scored for AFC Emley as they beat Teversal, 2-1, to go above their hosts into sixth spot.

Appleby Frodingham moved off the bottom of the table with their first points of the season, winning 2-1 at Grimsby Borough, Tom Hobson getting the winner eleven minutes from time.

Dinnington Town are the new side in the basement as Nathan Kamara's double saw them lose 2-0 at home to Selby Town and Dronfield Town are also now in the bottom two after their 1-1 draw with visitors Clipstone.

And, there were home victories for Pontefract Collieries and Shirebrook Town with Liam Radford and Andrew Catton scoring twice each in Ponte's 6-1 defeat of Rossington Main and Shirebrook beat Hallam, 2-0, courtesy of goals from Adam Shepherd and Aaron Moxam.
