Staveley Miners Welfare and Parkgate will meet in the Final of the Wilkinson Sword Trophy after both came through last-four tussles in midweek.

Parkgate were comfortable 5-1 winners over Teversal on Tuesday.

Paul Clayton and Caine Cheetham had them two-up by the break and Cheetham found the net again along with goals from Adam Fretwell and Brian Cusworth to make sure the tie was over after 65 minutes.

The Tevie Boys did get something to cheer though as Craig Gibbon snatched a consolation eleven minutes from time.

Staveley booked their place to take on the Division One leaders with a 3-2 victory at Lincoln Moorlands on Wednesday evening.

The first leg of the Final takes place at Staveley on March the 13th with the reverse at Parkgate a fortnight later.

In the Notts Senior Cup, Sutton Town put aside the revelation of the departure of boss Lee Wilson and his management team by winning 2-1 at Central Midlands side Clipstone Welfare.

The Snipes had to wait until the hour mark, though, to make the breakthrough as James Dooley got the vital strike.

Phil Massingham then made the tie safe on 75 minutes before Peter Stephenson pulled one back for Welfare.

In the NCEL Premier Division, Glapwell moved up to sixth as a Marc Sherlock penalty on 29 minutes saw them claim a 1-0 victory over visitors Pickering Town.

And, in Division One, Winterton Rangers cut the gap with Parkgate to nine points as they won 3-2 at AFC Emley.

They had been three goals to the good thanks to a strike from Andy Catton and a Rob Northen brace.

But, the game got tight in the final twenty minutes through an Allan Laud penalty and a Chris Prasher goal.

Rangers, though, hung on for all three points.
