BBC Radio Sheffield's Football Heaven, the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA and BBC RaW want football stories from the South Yorkshire area.

Football is a real passion for many people and there is a rich tradition of storytelling around it.

It could be the perfect goal, the perfect match, a family kickabout or the day your son or daughter scored their first goal.

The best of the stories will be printed in a book, or maybe even recorded for broadcast.

The book will be distributed for donations to Football Aid at the end of the 2007 season.

Football stories should be written by adults over 18, be between 100 and 500 words and you can take them in to any library, e mail them to south.yorkshire@bbc.co.uk or post them to: Football Stories, BBC Radio Sheffield, Sheffield S1 4RS.

The closing date for stories is 30th March 2007. Please make sure you enclose your name, address, and, if possible a day time telephone number.
