NCEL Midweek Preview

4th December, 2006

Retford United will be eyeing a move into the top two of the Premier Division in midweek action.

They go to Selby Town knowing that a victory would put them above Maltby Main who are currently second.

But, the Robins will be desperate to quickly get over their weekend defeat to Sheffield with a win that would move themselves above their visitors into third.

That match is one of three Premier Division games taking place this week but is the only one on Wednesday with the other two encounters being played 24 hours earlier.

And, with only four points separating the teams in fifth and fourteenth, three of the sides in action on Tuesday know victory could see them shoot up the table.

Liversedge, currently tenth, could move up six places with a win at home to Long Eaton United who are fourteenth.

United could climb five spots themselves with victory as could thirteenth-placed Sutton Town should they pick up all three points at Glasshoughton Welfare.

Meanwhile, Arnold Town are involved in friendly action on Tuesday night as they travel to Central Midlands side Radford.
