NCEL Midweek Preview

23rd October, 2006

There are only three league matches this midweek, all on Tuesday night, but each already has some significance.

Undoubtedly the biggest tie is at Mill Lane where third-placed Pickering Town entertain the side just below them, Sheffield.

Victory for the Pikes would see them go back top of the Premier Division whilst a win for the visitors would keep them firmly on the heels of the early pacesetters.

Also hoping to make ground are sixth-placed Liversedge who are at home to Brodsworth Welfare.

But, Broddy will be looking for their first points on their travels this season and know a victory would move them out of the bottom three.

Worsbrough Bridge have the chance to regain first place in Division One.

However, they face a tough challenge at home to seventh-placed Lincoln Moorlands who are high in confidence after a 4-0 win against Dinnington Town at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Dinnington are celebrating their promotion to the NCEL and are officially switching on their floodlights with a special match on Thursday.

Sheffield Wednesday are the visitors to Phoenix Park, kick-off is at 7.30pm.
