Mohammed Broken Leg Shocks Rangers
30th November, 2008
Winterton Rangers player Lee Mohammed was taken to hospital by ambulance after breaking his leg in the 1-1 draw at Hallam on Saturday.
He was stretchered off on the half-hour by ambulance staff and the game delayed for around thirty minutes.
It is believed he has suffered a break below the knee and dislocated his ankle while turning away from an innocuous challenge.
Winterton representative Wayne Turtle commented: "Lee is an enthusiastic member of the team and enjoyed success as part of the double winning squad.
"He has been working very hard to cement his place in the starting eleven and had recently rediscovered his shooting boots.
"It's a major blow to Lee personally and to Winterton who have now suffered two serious breaks this term.
"All at West Street wish him a speedy recovery."
Meanwhile, on the same day, Nostell Miners Welfare midfielder Paul Bedford also suffered a broken leg during his side's 2-1 victory at Eccleshill United.
All at the NCEL send our hopes of a quick recovery for both players.
