Pontefract Collieries have revealed a new main sponsor for the club.

JJ Leisure, who specialise in sportswear, are the new backers of the KoolSport NCEL Division One side.

The ground will be named after them and they will also be shirt sponsors.

Chairman Trevor Waddington said: "Although it has been a difficult year financially with our fabulous committee having had to continuously put their hand into their pockets, light is at the end of the tunnel with a new sponsor coming on board for the upcoming season.

"I would like to say a big thanks to Allan Howcroft, owner of JJ Leisure and Howcroft Industrial Supplies, for his substantial sponsorship package.

"Allan is also a local magistrate and is delighted with the fantastic work we are doing with the club for the people of Pontefract and the surrounding areas.

"And, I am sure he will be with the club for many years to come as we climb out of obscurity.

"JJ Leisure will take the prominent front position on the first team kits and the stadium will take the new name 'The JJ Leisure Stadium' in what's to be initially a two year deal."
