Boro Focus On Youth
3rd October, 2008
Grimsby Borough are continuing to focus heavily on their youth policy as they embark on their first ever KoolSport NCEL campaign.
After seven league defeats in a row, they got back to winning ways last Saturday with a 2-0 victory at home to Rainworth Miners Welfare.
Amongst the team were 16-year-old striker Luke Fanthorpe and 17-year-old full-back Tim Lowe who were handed their full debuts by boss Steve Newby.
And the club were delighted with what they have called an "impressive win over an experienced Rainworth side."
