Venue Change For Seadogs Vase Tie
18th September, 2008
Scarborough Athletic's first ever FA Vase fixture this Saturday will now be played at a neutral venue.
They were due to play Birtley Town at the Birtly Sports Complex but the ground has been submerged under contaminated water.
Due to heavy rain in the area, a stream next to the ground which contains waste water from nearby industrial units has leaked onto the pitch and Environmental Health have declared the area unfit for sporting purposes.
The game will now be played 4 miles from Birtley at Washington FC's Albany Park ground.
