A last-minute winner ensured that Mickleover Sports maintained their nine point lead at the top of the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division.

Corin Hoyle got the vital goal in a 3-2 win at Pickering Town after Sports had squandered a two-goal lead.

Karl Ashton had struck twice in the last five minutes of the first half, once from the penalty spot.

But, Liam Salt pulled one back before Chris Batchelor had seemingly claimed a point for the Pikes from twelve yards on 86 minutes.

However, Hoyle popped up to snatch the victory.

Selby Town, however, remain in touch in second place with two games in hand after their 3-0 home win over Arnold Town.

The Robins blew away the Eagles in the first five minutes with goals from Steve Lyon and Brenton Leister.

Arnold came back into the game but could not find a way to close the gap and the match was over when Leister got his second and Selby's third on 68 minutes.

Third-placed Long Eaton United lost ground as they were beaten 1-0 at Nostell Miners Welfare, Craig Stephens with the goal on 35 minutes.

Bridlington Town are now one point behind them in fourth after they won 3-0 at home to Shirebrook Town.

Lee Naughton's 40th-minute own goal was added to by Chibuzor Chilaka three minutes later and Ashley Allanson's late strike made sure of the victory.

Shirebrook are now only out of the bottom two by virtue of goal difference as Eccleshill United's remarkable turn of form continued with a 3-2 win at Thackley.

They had taken the lead through Andy Howland in the opening minute at Dennyfield before a Dean Walters penalty and a Darryll Leach goal put their hosts ahead.

But, Howland popped up again on the hour mark to restore parity and Tom Didd got what proved to be the winner ten minutes later.

A massive week is coming up in the relegation battle with four teams now fighting it out for Premier Division survival.

Eccleshill go to Shirebrook and then host bottom side Lincoln Moorlands Railway over the next two weekends.

Hall Road Rangers are through to the Semi-Finals of the Presidents Cup after a 4-1 win at home to Parkgate.

They were three-up by the break with goals from Steve Graham, Paul Morril and Jamie Barnwell.

Daniel Payne gave the away side some hope with a penalty early in the second half but Adam Walker grabbed Rangers' fourth in injury time.

They now go to Scarborough Athletic in the last four.
